Johnson Creek has always been about choice: the choice to vape, the choice to shop online or in stores, the choice to select flavors, and the choice of gear. Sadly, with the passage of Act 1235 (SB987) vapers in Arkansas will no longer be able to choose to shop online. They have classified vapor products as tobacco and tobacco cannot be purchased online. As of July 21, 2015 we are no longer able to sell products directly to consumers in Arkansas. The new law does allow us to sell Johnson Creek products to your local vape shops with certain restrictions. Both the shop and we need to obtain a license to do business together.
We’ve started the process to obtain a manufacturing license from the state of Arkansas and we’ll be reaching out to vape shops across the state so you can purchase our products locally. Let us know if you have a favorite vape shop and we’ll add them to our list. We’ll keep you posted via our website on shops in Arkansas carrying our products.
We’ll also keep doing our part by working to be compliant with laws governing our industry in the United States and beyond. If you want to get involved, we suggest you work with and support the vaping advocacy groups of your choice. CASAA (The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) is an excellent organization you might want to check out at http://casaa.org.
Together we can ensure vaping remains a choice for adults.
